Vacancy: Communications Manager
 
China Carbon Forum (CCF), an independent platform for stakeholders in China’s climate change sector, is currently looking for a Communications Manager. The role of the communications manager would ideally suit a young and dynamic individual, committed to climate change action.
CCF has more than 200 members from the PRC and foreign companies and NGOs. Its management and advisory board is drawn from the diplomatic community, PRC government agencies, foreign law and consulting firms and foreign and domestic clean energy companies. It also has close links with Renmin University of China’s Programme of Energy, Climate and Economics and the China Beijing Environment Exchange (CBEEX). 
CCF is non-profit and independent. It does not take positions on any issues and this independence is important in its role facilitating discussions between PRC government policy makers and the private sector. CCF organizes focused events to discuss climate change issues in specific sectors, including invitation-only networking events, as well as policy consultations to discuss removal of barriers to particular emission reductions.
Job description:
-                   Work under guidance of general manager and board
-                   Prepare CCF events, manage invitations and write post-event reports
-                   Assist with revenue-generating activities, including meetings with sponsors and contacts and follow-up
-                   Facilitate operation of CCF secretariat, including administrative duties
-                   Manage CCF website, post frequent news items etc
-                   Prepare board meeting agenda and write board meeting minutes

Requirements:
-                   Native English skills, preferably good Chinese skills
-                   Strong commitment to climate change action
-                   Energetic, pro-active attitude, ability to work independently
-                   Good writing skills and proficient with website management
-                   Some demonstrated working experience
-                   Ideally a relevant degree
Salary indication:
Base pay and commissions will add up to about 4,000 RMB per month.
