The China Medical Board, an American foundation that seeks to advance health in China and Asia, is inviting applications for appointment as:
Administrative Assistant
The China Medical Board was founded nearly 100 years ago to strengthen medicine, public health, and nursing in China and Asia. See www.chinamedicalboard.org.
Reporting to the CMB Beijing Office Manager, the assistant will be assisting all CMB Beijing Office Staff with office management work.
More specifically, the Administration Assistant, working with other CMB staff will be responsible of:
1. Assist all staff in office logistics, including but not limited to meetings / events / travel planning and coordination, file archiving and management, intranet management, and minutes-taking
2. File expense report of all Beijing office staff
3. Maintain CMB related contacts in the database
4. Draft and translate documents as needed
5. Other across-office responsibilities as determined by the CMB Beijing office director and the Office Manager
6. Other ad hoc assignments as requested by the Project director and approved by the Office Manager

2. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English and Chinese in writing and speaking
3. High personal and professional standards and the ability to maintain confidential data

4. Advanced user of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and preferably the Google Appls system including Gmail, calendar, contacts, chats and Google sites
Bachelors Degree in English, public health, public policy, medicine, nursing, business, economics, communication or other related fields is required. Public health and/or international organization working experiences a plus but not required. New graduates are welcomed.

A sample of previous writing -- memos, notes, academic papers, etc. -- would be essential since significant writing in English will be required for fulfilling the functions in the position.
