DEVELOPMENT Solutions (DS) is a European consultancy working internationally in the field of sustainable investments and sustainable development. Our expertise in regulatory development and business solutions is applied primarily in emerging markets across Asia in the areas of international trade and economy; environmental conservation and energy efficiency; human capacities; and business facilitation and SME support. This expertise is built on our strong grounding in project design and management; analysis; research; and business, public and government relations. DS is currently expanding its new business operations. We are seeking highly motivated candidates who will support our team with new business development, research and proposal writing. Applicants should have experience and/or interest in public sector work, international trade, energy and environment, international development and private sector business facilitation. Excellent communication skills are a necessity given the need for daily cooperation and dialogue with international organisations and project partners.

 

Recent graduates with initiative and attention to detail and able to work under tight deadlines will be given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a range of high profile public and private sector projects.

 

Prospective candidates require:
• Undergraduate degree or higher in international development or trade preferable
• Excellent written and spoken English to undertake proposal development and presentations
• High quality research and analytical skills
• Ability to work with limited direction and to meet tight deadlines
• Reliability, initiative, thoroughness and attention to detail
• Highly motivated, hard working and ambitious
• Team player with strong coordination and organisational skills
• Strong client servicing skills
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with tendering procedures and the preparation of bids is an advantage
• Experience in China/SE Asia an asset. Mandarin language an advantage
