ENDING AIDS: WHY THE WORLD CAN'T WAIT AND WHAT YOU CAN DO

What will it take to end AIDS? The 2006 Report on the Global AIDS Epidemic prepared by the Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS reports that an estimated 39 million people are infected with HIV around the world - nearly half are women and children. In 2005 alone, more than 2.8 million people lost their lives to AIDS. This special event examines the global response to HIV/AIDS and features global leaders who call on all of us to act on this worldwide challenge - as students, diplomats, government officials, educators, businesspeople, and members of our respective communities.
