The Royal London School for the Blind has been assisting visually impaired people both in the United Kingdom and internationally since 1838.
The Society has been working alongside China Vision, a London-based charity that supports education, rehabilitation and training of visually impaired people and blind teachers, and the Golden Key project, a Chinese NGO that supports the reintegration of children into mainstream schools. The RLSB gave China Vision advice on visual impairment and sponsored and facilitated the training of visually impaired Chinese teachers who will work on Golden Key projects. They have also donated materials for low vision education and for leisure and mobility for the blind.
