Hong Kong AIDS Foundation
Mission: "To limit the spread of HIV infection in the community and provide support to those affected by HIV/AIDS. We aim to: enhance public awareness of the HIV/AIDS epidemic;educate the public about HIV/AIDS; provide a range of services needed by people infected with HIV or otherwise affected by HIV/AIDS, and promote care and support to people living with HIV/AIDS and enable them to fight and live positively with the disease."

Established in 1991, the foundation works on AIDS awareness and prevention, and on caring for people affected by AIDS. It has 13 full time staff but relies heavily on over 500 volunteers to maintain services such as telephone hotlines, confidential testing and counseling, and support programmes for people living with AIDS.
Although the foundation has no representative office or permanent staff on the mainland, five full-time staff members are devoted at least in part to mainland projects. These include training courses for HIV/AIDS workers, focusing on areas such as counseling patients, running prevention campaigns and educational programs. The foundation also helps to identify sponsors for mainland HIV/AIDS projects.
This organization is funded through government grants and fundraising activities
